Coach Jurgen Klopp admitted that the warm farewell from Liverpool fans in the final match was extremely special for him.
Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool just had a perfect ending when defeating Wolves in the final round of the Premier League.
In his last match in charge of Liverpool, the German strategist was warmly welcomed by home fans at Anfield.
Responding to the post-match press conference, when asked if it felt normal to receive a warm farewell from the fans, Klopp admitted: `No, I don’t think it’s normal. I’ve known for a long time.
I really think the fans have made a difference for this club.
Klopp admitted that he was especially impressed with the way the fans said goodbye.
The German strategist added: `The fans are this club. So obviously we have had a wonderful time together, nine years, almost a decade. It’s crazy. Kids today
I love you all, I love everything about this club, but it’s time for me to leave.
Klopp sent his gratitude to the team as well as Liverpool fans.
In his final season leading Liverpool, Jurgen Klopp only helped the team bring home the Carabao Cup title, while being unfortunately eliminated from the FA Cup, Europa League and kicked out of the Premier League championship race.
