Entering the new generation, Triton is almost `transformed` with a stronger and more aggressive appearance.
Not only the appearance, the size of Triton has also changed significantly.
The interior of Triton 2024 has also been completely redesigned, providing a more comfortable and modern driving space.
The suspension system of the new Mitsubishi Triton has not changed compared to the old generation, but the engine has been upgraded from the 4N15 type to the new 4N16 type, still maintaining a capacity of 2.4 liters.
This new engine is equipped with modern cooling equipment, variable intake valve control technology (VGT), electronic fuel injection system and DOHC double cam, to enhance performance and efficiency.
Triton 2024’s turbocharged diesel engine offers three different power levels:
The standard version produces 148 horsepower at 3,500 rpm and 330 Nm of torque between 1,500 – 3,000 rpm.
The mid-range version produces a maximum capacity of 184 horsepower and maximum torque of 430 Nm.
The most advanced version has a capacity of 201 horsepower and 470 Nm of torque at 1,500 – 2,750 rpm.
The new Triton is combined with a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Mitsubishi’s two famous electronic axle systems, Super Select 4WD-II and Easy Select 4WD, remain the same on Triton 2024. In addition, the traction control system AYC (Active Yaw Control), helps assist driving
A limited slip differential (LSD) is standard equipment for both drive systems, providing superior performance on all terrains.
In terms of safety technology, the new Triton is not inferior to competitors such as the Ford Ranger or Toyota Hilux, with modern features such as forward collision mitigation, lane change assist, blind spot warning and front vehicle warning.
Information about the selling price of Mitsubishi Triton 2024 has not yet been announced by dealers.
With the launch of the new Triton and the newly upgraded Toyota Hilux in May, the pickup truck segment is expected to become more exciting, providing more choices for consumers, reducing boredom and repetition.
